June 5, 2020

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

        As you may be aware, on May 19, 2020, the province of B.C. entered Phase 2 of its reopening plan as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many of you, we are eager to return to our normal routines, but we want to do so in a way that is safe and protects everyone around us including you and our neighbours.

        As such, this letter is to inform you that starting June 22, we will be reopening our facilities only for meetings/gatherings of less than forty people. In this initial stage, we would like to focus on adult gatherings and we strongly recommend you not to bring children (under age of 12) with you.

The MPR in main building or Sanctuary in Annex can be booked for the following timeslots:

   Monday to Saturday Sunday
Main Bldg MPR Annex Sanctuary Main Bldg MPR Annex Sanctuary
9 - 10 am blocked for sanitization
10 am - 12 noon     blocked blocked
12 noon - 1 pm blocked for sanitization
1 - 3 pm
3 - 4 pm blocked for sanitization
4 - 6 pm
6 - 7 pm blocked for sanitization
7 - 9:30 pm

       Committee/fellowship/small group leaders should make the booking with the church office at least 48 hours before your meetings. Kindly note the availability of the venue is subject to:

  1. a first-come-first-serve basis;
  2. for Friday nights and weekends, each committee/fellowship/small group can only book one timeslot per month;
  3. in order to prioritize safety, we are only allowing one committee/fellowship/small group to meet in each building for each available time slot.

       We enclose the guideline for you to follow during your gatherings in the church. It is to help you keep safe and healthy and be the witness of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you have any questions, please contact sister Sylvia Chan (Tel: 604-524-3336 ext.300, [email protected]).

       Although we may not have physical contacts with each other soon, let’s have deeper spiritual closeness with one another and especially to God. (1 John 1:3-4)

May God continue to bless you richly,

Burnaby Alliance Church
