Meet our Summer Interns!!

After months of searching, God has finally provided us two lovely sisters – Pandora and Ina, as our summer interns this year. They will team up with Cheryl to plan our children programs in Cedar Spring, work with a team of group leaders and parents to teach in Summer Sunday School and also co-lead our VBS in August.

If you run into them in church, give them a warm welcome and your blessings!! They have already dedicated so much time to creative fun activities for your kids!!

Pandora

“Hi this is Pandora! Nice to meet you all! I am one of the summer interns this year in BAC. I’m excited to be part of the children ministry and can’t wait to have a good time with the kids this summer!

Let me briefly introduce myself. I was born and raised in Hong Kong. Both my parents are Christians and I’m grateful that I get to know God since I was young. I came to Canada in 2013 and studied high school in Abbotsford. I then went to Winnipeg and later graduated in University of Manitoba. I worked in a daycare as a childcare assistant for two years. I attended Winnipeg Chinese Alliance Church for 7 years and I served in WCAC’s children and youth ministry for a year. I experienced God’s grace and blessings throughout the years. I just recently moved to Vancouver in March 2023 and I am thankful that God leads me to BAC. I met a lot of awesome brothers and sisters here and I am happy I got this chance to serve in BAC children ministry.

I’m looking forward to this summer and hope we can create some great memories together!”

Ina

“Hey everyone! I'm Ina Huang, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the BAC community as one of the newest summer interns. I wanted to take a moment to share a little bit about myself and why I'm so excited to be working in the children's ministry.

Recently, I graduated from Simon Fraser University, and it was a transformative experience for me. While my studies focused on business, what really touched my heart during this time was discovering a deeper connection with God. It opened my eyes to the immense power of faith and how it can positively impact our lives.

That's why I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to serve in the children's ministry. It's a chance for me to continue my spiritual journey while helping others explore and deepen their relationship with God. I truly believe that working with children allows us to experience God's love and grace in a unique and beautiful way.

I'm eager to work alongside Pandora and the rest of the dedicated team to create a warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children. Together, we'll plan and organize engaging and spiritually enriching summer programs that will leave a lasting impact on their faith journey.

Being a part of this experience is a true honor for me, and I'm genuinely looking forward to getting to know each and everyone better throughout the summer. Together, let's embark on this incredible adventure of exploring and growing in our faith.”

If you have any questions about our programs in summer, feel free to connect with Cheryl, Pandora, Ina or me. We will be happy to answer your questions.
