Meet our summer interns

We’re excited to introduce you our team of summer interns this year. Some of them had years of experience as summer interns while some are brand new.  They already joined the first training workshop on May 13 and will get ready to serve the kids in coming months.  It’s going to be another fun summer. Yeah!

Ina Huang

Ina and her baby nephew

Hello everyone! My name is Ina and I am one of the interns for the youths/children this year! Previously I’ve served as the children’s intern, and through that time, God has revealed so much to me about His heart for the next generation. It has been such a joy to walk alongside the kids, and I’m so thankful for all the ways God has grown me through that experience.

This year, I am excited to be stepping into a new season working with the youths! I’m looking forward to building relationships, sharing life together, and discovering more of who God is alongside them. I can’t wait to get to know our younger generations of our church family and see what God has in store for each and every one of us.

Please pray for our team and our church—that we would all glorify Him in all that we do!

Hello!! I'm Charis Chow. I've been with BAC for 4 years now and I am thankful that I get to serve God as a summer intern. I really look forward to playing and having fun with the children because I believe that by spreading love, I can live out the life of Jesus Christ. I am also excited to work with other interns and I am sure I will learn a lot from them as we each put our own gifts in serving. Once again, I am thankful to have this opportunity and I would like to see God's work on me.

Hi everyone~ This is Rebecca! I come from Joy fellowship, a Cantonese student fellowship at BAC. I am working as an after school elementary academic/art instructor. I love art and keep exploring the varieties in art throughout the journey in pursuing as an art professional. Through teaching kids, I am always impressed by their creativity, on both artistic expressions and ways of thinking! I am excited and can’t wait to interact with you all through God-centred-art’s programs.

Hello everyone, I am back! My name is Galen Yau, and this year will be my fourth year with BAC. May God continuously bless my serving in His family. In the past year, I started my studies in UBC, major in political science, minor in Asian language and culture (Hong Kong).

If you remember, I mentioned about God’s calling for me as a full-time minister. This have never changed, and God has been walking with and equipping me. This is the reason why I am here again.

Throughout the few months of my summer interns’ work last year, I saw the needs of our children and what did Jesus mean by saying “the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.” Children are most energetic and pure. What they need is not a childcare but a space to grow in Christ, especially in summer. Instead of staying idle at home, drawing them come closer to God and train them to seek God can help the Christian families grow further. We also want to help them keep growing in our church, and become the light and salt of this world. May our works in them be an anchor and a foundation for their holistic development in Christ.

In this Summer Internship, I’m not aiming to spoon-feed the children with biblical knowledge, but rather to serve as a bridge—so that through learning, they can personally encounter God. May God bless the coming serving.

Hi everyone!
I'm Pandora, and I’m so excited to be back for my third summer as an intern at BAC! Currently, I work as an Education Assistant at Vancouver Christian School, where I get to stay active in the classroom, grow as a teacher, and guide children in their spiritual journey through a biblical perspective.

This summer, I’m thrilled to continue teaching Sunday school. I’m looking forward to bringing meaningful and fun lessons to the kids, and I hope to inspire them to reflect on their faith and grow deeper in their relationship with God. I will also help as a volunteer at the kids summer camp.

Let’s enjoy, learn, and grow together this summer!
