The world needs Jesus.

Particularly in the everlasting hope that carries us to see beyond the COVID case count, inflation, and other headlines.

As a pastor, I have attended many funerals. There, I often get the opportunity to meet and chat with some of the grieving family members for the first time. These conversations sometime lead to the topic of death. One can’t escape this topic – we are at a funeral after all!

Christian or not, we all have to face death one day.

Do you fear death?

Do you know what is beyond death?

Are you prepared for what is to come? Will there be any regrets?

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:4-6)

The last and the greatest testimony a Christian can give, is how they face death.

I am happy to report, that after many funerals and witnessing how believers are comforted in “the valley of the shadow of death”, and how they have no fear in the face of the archenemy (death), as they walk confidently to be with the Lord in His house forever…

Psalm 23 is indeed true!

The world needs the hope of eternity in Jesus.
