Loran Tang, recruiter and training coordinator of Children Ministry
Makes your appreciation pop at Popcorn!!
Did you ever want to say “thank you” or show appreciation to a volunteer in our children ministry programs? Maybe a LIT who helps your kid to memorize verses. Or a Preschool Worship teacher who tells Bible stories to your young kid while you join services. Or a nursery worker who cuddles and soothes your baby so patiently?
As the coordinator of Combined Worship, I truly appreciate the time, effort, preparation work, and love our helpers, song leaders and teachers give to the kids. Without a committed team, no any single program can be operated or sustained.
February 12 to 18 is “Children Ministry Helpers Appreciation Week”. We invite you to take this opportunity to show your appreciation to the helpers in the Children Ministry. It can be as simple as a verbal acknowledgment, a phone text or a card to express your gratitude. If you decide to send a card, you can drop off your message card in the “card collection box” in the foyer by February 18. Don’t forget to put down the helper’s full name and the programs he/she is helping on the envelope. We will certainly help you deliver the card to the helper!!
On February 18, Saturday, also the last day of our Appreciation Week, Chery Li will collaborate with participating families to make special gifts to our helpers during Popcorn Club. (Registration is required. Please click here to register. )
Popcorn club is a place for families that have 6 to 11 year-old children to make creative arts together once a month. We started the club on Friday night in September last year, but now it has been switched to Saturday afternoon in the MPR to accommodate families’ busy schedules or packed bookings at church. We use arts, our universal language, to connect families together. We did art jamming, abstract 3-D model building, and clay. In the upcoming session, as mentioned, we will make unique gifts for our helpers while having fun to get to know each other more. You don’t want to miss this fun and meaningful family time!
