Teaching kids God’s word is very challenging. To handle God’s word is a holy job. To handle kids is a chaotic job. To handle them together is an intimidating job!! However, don’t you know we have a team of devoted and committed teachers who are determined to take this mission on even that means they have to against all odds? Yes, we go beyond for your kids!!

“Elijah and Elisha” (E & E) was set up in October 2021. It is a group for the more experienced teachers to mentor the less experienced. Through meeting together and sharing teaching ideas regularly, we inspire and learn from each other. As you know, when Elijah was about to depart, he wanted to do the one last thing for his dear apprentice, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha, his apprentice, answered. Even Elijah said it is a difficult thing to ask for but for God, nothing is too difficult. Elisha succeeds his mentor as a great prophet.

In the community of E & E, we strive to form an intimate bonding in which a mentor does not only teach but also pour out support in his/her apprentice’s teaching task. I used the word “strive” because, be very honest, we are not there yet!! Not entirely at least. It takes a very long time to build up this trust and love relationship. Having said that, I see some progress is made gradually in the past few months. I am especially comforted and rewarded to see the young adults who have stepped up to teach and are willing to be equipped to receive the burton in teaching God’s word. I see the future of BAC. I also see the future to the kids.

Parents, brothers and sisters, would you take a moment to give them thanks and show your appreciation? It’s a mere selflessness when they scarified their time in teaching preparation and training sessions!! Would you also be a part of E & E community to work together with us in laying down a solid biblical foundation for our kids?

I was once again encouraged to do His work by cultivating the land for kids to grow their spiritual lives when I read Ephesians 5: 15 – 16: “Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”

If you don’t want to send your kids to navigate the storm without being equipped, join E & E (in different ways) to fight this spiritual battle!!
