October 2026

Loran Tang, recruiter and training coordinator of Children Ministry

The Little Ones Accept Jesus as Their Savior at VBS!

This month, I have invited Caius Li to share his experience with VBS.

It’s very encouraging to see how the Holy Spirit is working in the children’s hearts. Vacation Bible School (VBS) is not just about having fun; as the name suggests, it’s a time to study the Bible and draw children closer to Jesus. I’m sure the team is very grateful to see the harvest of spiritual fruit.

Caius Li

I have been volunteering at the BAC VBS for the past few years and it has been nice to connect with a small group of kids through activities and discussions. But this year, I, along with some of my friends, was assigned to put on a cooking show skit with a lesson for the children. We were also in charge of worship for the final day, where we formed a full team to play songs for the kids. Through these experiences I was able to connect with a lot more children and I was able to see God working in each of them. It was really nice to see the kids actually pay attention to the meanings behind the skit, and it was also great to see them worship God, singing and doing actions. I think I was able to experience God through the children. One more thing we did this year was explain the gospel to the children and also pray with them to accept Jesus as our saviour. This was my first time leading this prayer with the children, and because it was optional for the kids, I did not expect many of them to choose to do it. To my surprise though, almost everyone in the room raised their hands when they were asked whether they wanted to do it or not. It was honestly great to see so many of the children want to learn more about the gospel.

Trivia of VBS 2026

There were 70 volunteers involved in VBS this year

There were 10 snack times in the week of VBS

We had 8 aunties to help make special lunches at the kitchen and 6 teens dedicated to preparing special snacks every day.

We had created 8 game stations including 4 water games on the last day of the camp!

Our VBS is a beloved summer program that brings fun and God’s truth together for children. However, the planning, resources, creativity, and sheer effort required to make it happen are truly incredible. We even had church members take time off from their regular jobs just to serve! If you believe this is a meaningful and exciting way to reach out to children, we would love for you to join our team next year!
