June 2026

Loran Tang, recruiter and training coordinator of Children Ministry

Meet our summer interns

Amanda

Hello everyone! My name is Amanda and I'm so excited to be joining the summer intern team this year. I've just graduated from high school and will be entering UBC Science in the fall. Some of my favourite things include music, reading, puzzles, and card games. After joining BAC about a year and a half ago, I began helping in Awana and VBS summer camp. It's been such a joy hanging out with the kids and witnessing their growth in knowledge, faith, and confidence. I look forward to continuing to do so this summer!

Charis

Hello everyone, this is Charis. I’m so grateful and excited to have another opportunity to serve in the children’s ministry again this year. Last year, the children continually impressed me with their creativity and joyfulness. I could truly see how God was working in their lives, which made me even more eager to be part of this ministry again this year.

This year, I’ll be working on several projects involving both the children’s and youth programs. I’m looking forward to building relationships with them, walking alongside them in God, and having lots of fun together!

Camilla

Hello, everyone! My name is Camilla and I am very excited to be working with kids at church this summer! I am graduating high school this June and will be going into Arts at SFU. I really enjoy music, art and literature. I attended BAC from a very young age, growing from AWANA clubber to a volunteer. I really enjoy working with kids and I look forward working with them in the summer!

Galen

Hello everyone! I am Galen. This is my third year serving as a BAC Children's Ministry Summer Intern. Thank you for all the love and support in the previous years.

After these years, I know that childhood is a really good starting point for developing a Christian life.

Therefore, I would like to continue using the skills and experience learned in the previous years, and most importantly, the love of God, to bring God's Word to our lovely kids.

Trina

Hi, I'm Trina! I've just finished my first year of university and am planning to go into linguistics and then hopefully education! I grew up in the church and in Children Ministry, I volunteered in AWANA for several years as well as helped out in summer Sunday school. Outside of church, I like to bake, snowboard, and play spikeball. I also really love whales.
