Moving
Well, it is now official that our family will be moving. As we have been seeking Him for our future, we felt that He was leading us to return to the city we were living in before we moved here more than 5 years ago. It’s a place that holds a huge place in our hearts. Vic and I met there, I was pregnant with all 3 boys there, Timo was born there, many beautiful friendships were made there... While we are still working on paperwork and the visa process and therefore don’t know exactly when our move will happen, we have started purging and packing and have even leased an office space and an apartment in hopes that we can start settling into our new home by July. We plan to start a trading business with a focus on water filtration which is new, exciting and a bit scary all wrapped in one.

Request: Baseball in YJ.
Answer: One of our former university students just moved back to YJ this year and is playing on one of 4 baseball teams in YJ and has a heart to start a youth baseball program! This is in an answer in a few ways because since moving back to YJ he has also started attending church again and hopefully we can disciple him and his girlfriend as he’s sure to spend lots of time with us as our home has been a home away from home for him for the past 14 years.
Request: 4-5 bedroom home near friends (with a bathtub)
Answer: When Vic was last visiting in March he laid his hand on the wall of our friend’s apartment and asked that the one next door would open up ... it did and we rented it this past week! It’s a bit of a fixer-upper which I love because then we can make it our own. While it doesn’t have a tub yet there is space for one and the owner if fine with us putting one it.
Request: A visa opportunity and office space
Answer: A like-minded lady was selling her business that came with a visa and we are able to change the business plan to suit our vision. We were also able to find suitable office space last week when visiting.
Request: Friends
Answer: While some of our closest friends will be moving to Japan and we are going to be so sad not to be living in the same place as them we are grateful we’ll at least be on the same continent. We are also thankful to be moving closer to lots of other friends and are excited that the community where we are headed is growing too.
