Praises
  • Moving (引越し ひっこし; hik-ko-shi) in Japan involves quite a lot. After moving into this newly renovated apartment, we found that it had many fixtures which took us a bit of time to figure out the purposes. → Give thanks that our home is set up. May it be a place where we can show hospitality as well as a place for us to rest and recharge for God’s work.
  • So, what is our involvement at Tokyo Center Church (TCC) as our training designation? While the details have yet to be sorted out with Shimomura & Hatae Sensei’s and OMF Leadership, we are attending all activities and meetings to get to know the brothers and sisters at the church: two worship services on Sundays and the lunch fellowship as well as dinner after sometimes, Bible studies on Wednesdays, and Core Member (i.e. leadership) meetings.
  • Shimomura Sensei is very intentional in training us, e.g. once a month, a gathering among four of us, in which we share a short message and pray / prayer walk together. William is scheduled to preach on June 29th, and the Senseis are going to proofread the Japanese. We are also going to lead a small group using a Book Study. For Juliana, in addition to the above involvement at TCC, she is joining the finance team of OMF Japan as a part-time (2 days) Finance Manager. Though this is not what we originally planned, we see that it is important to support the Fellowship.
  • Give thanks that our home sweet home is almost ready. May it be a blessing for many.
  • Give thanks of the intentional training that Shimomura and Hatae Sensei give us. May the Lord protect them and bless their health.

 

Prayers
  • Pray for our language learning, and practices at church as well as our own study goals.
  • Please pray for William’s preaching on June 29th and Juliana’s role as a part-time Finance Manager of OMF Japan.
  • Pray for Grandma Ching and Grandma Hui, especially for Grandma Hui’s appointment with the GI specialist.
  • Would you please pray with us for our daughters, especially Joelle’s health? May the Lord protect Joelle’s footsteps as she travels to different medical appointments. Please also pray for Janelle’s time management and her relationship with her Lord Savior.
